Project SAHARA
About the project
Our Vision
Project SAHARA is a transformative initiative dedicated to bringing holistic support and emotional solace to the elderly, orphans, specially-abled, and juveniles in care facilities. Through Bhakti Yoga and Prem Yoga principles, we strive to alleviate loneliness, foster well-being, and nurture social bonds — creating vibrant, inclusive communities where everyone feels valued and loved.
The Need: Healing Isolation and Restoring Dignity
Millions of elderly, orphans, and differently-abled individuals in India face isolation, neglect, and emotional distress. Traditional care often overlooks their deeper needs for connection, purpose, and joy. Without meaningful social engagement and holistic well-being, these groups are left vulnerable to physical and mental decline. There is an urgent need for compassionate, community-driven solutions that heal, empower, and uplift.
Project Implementation
Together, We Create Change
Project SAHARA transforms lives by integrating mindful yoga practices, mental health awareness, and holistic wellness routines into daily life.
For Old-Age Homes
SAHARA programs in old-age homes focus on restoring dignity, movement, and meaning to elderly lives. Gentle yoga, soulful music, and group storytelling foster intergenerational learning and mutual care.
For Orphanages & Juvenile Centers
Children and young people participate in fun, interactive yoga and mindfulness games that teach social-emotional skills, boost confidence, and create a foundation for lifelong well-being.
For Specially-Abled Care Centers
Adapted yoga sessions and inclusive events celebrate each individual’s unique strengths, encouraging self-expression and building supportive friendships.
