TYJ editorial · Reflection
Our roles help us take part in the world. We become colleagues, parents, leaders, creators, friends. Each role asks something different of us, and each can hold meaning.
Sometimes the demands become so familiar that we stop noticing the person experiencing them. A question about identity does not require us to abandon responsibility. It can help us meet it with greater awareness.
You might begin by noticing which role occupies most of your attention today. What does it ask of you? What matters to you within it? What parts of your experience remain unspoken?
At TYJ, conscious inquiry means allowing questions to be explored with care. There is no prescribed identity to arrive at, and no requirement to adopt a particular belief. The work begins with your own experience.
