Role Overview
As an HR Intern at The Yoga Journey, you will play a vital role in supporting the human resources function of our growing startup. You’ll gain firsthand experience in recruitment, employee engagement, policy development, and organizational culture-building. Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment Support:
- Assist in sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews for potential candidates.
- Draft job descriptions and post them on free job boards and social media platforms.
- Maintain candidate databases and track application progress.
- Onboarding & Offboarding:
- Help design and implement onboarding processes for new hires and interns.
- Prepare welcome materials and ensure smooth integration into the team.
- Assist with exit interviews and offboarding procedures.
- Employee Engagement:
- Support initiatives to boost team morale and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Organize virtual or in-person team-building activities and events.
- Gather feedback from employees through surveys or one-on-one check-ins.
- Policy Development:
- Assist in drafting and updating HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and industry regulations (under guidance).
- Conduct research on best practices for small businesses/startups.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
- Assist with payroll-related tasks (e.g., tracking hours for interns).
- Coordinate internal communications, such as newsletters or announcements.
- Learning & Development:
- Research and recommend training programs or workshops for employees.
- Assist in organizing professional development sessions for the team.
- Project-Based Work:
- Contribute to special HR projects, such as diversity and inclusion initiatives or wellness programs.

Who We’re Looking For
- Students or recent graduates pursuing degrees in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related fields.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with HR tools (e.g., Google Forms, Slack).
- Passion for wellness, yoga, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
